THE CONCEPTA Fast Impressions speed dating event is like a cocktail party in a slick bar where you meet 10 single guys or girls in your preferred age group. You enjoy gourmet canapés and sip on champagne whilst mingling with specially selected people in your preferred age group. You spend 8 minutes chatting with each of your dates - just enough time to figure out who you’d like to see again. The following day you are sent the contact details of the people that liked you too, you take it from there. Unlike a blind date, there’s no pressure and no expectations - we do all the hard work. All you have to do is sit back and have a great time!
HOW IT WORKSOur team of contemporary cupids hook up 20 singles, an equal number of men and women, in a private area of a chic, centrally located bar. A Fast Impressions host is there to ensure the drinks are flowing and the dates are rolling. You have 8 minutes with each date… Plenty of time for sparks to fly! Unlike other speed dating services, Fast Impressions speed dating events are by invitation only - we don't publish a schedule of events. This lets us control who goes to which event - we're able to tailor the guest list ensuring that the chemistry is a reality. For this reason over 90% of our guests match with at least one other person, by far the highest success rate in the world.
GETTING STARTEDThe first step is to complete our online registration form where you tell us a bit about who you are and who you’d like to meet. Although membership to Fast Impressions is free, you may choose to pay upfront* for your first event. This will ensure that you receive an invitation to the very first event that matches your preferences. Once you’ve paid, you’ll be given top priority and we’ll send you an invitation as soon as possible, usually within 1 or 2 weeks. Then you’re set to go! We recommend this option if you know you want to give speed dating a go soon. If you don’t want to pay upfront, you become a standby member. As a standby member, you’ll receive invitations to suitable events if there are spaces available. You only pay when you accept an invitation. However, paid members are sent their invitations first, so you’ll need to be quick to reserve your space. This is a good option if you’re not in a hurry to go speed dating. *We will only accept your upfront payment if we estimate that we’ll be able to send you an invitation within 2 weeks.
INVITATIONSOur unique software creates events specifically tailored to your preferences. You’ll be emailed invitations to attend events created with you in mind. You accept your invitation by clicking on a link in the invitation email. You can also view a full list of all upcoming events that match your preferences by visiting your personal "My Details" page and clicking on "Upcoming Events". You’ll be directed to your "My Details" page as soon as you’ve registered or logged in (existing members).
AT THE EVENTAt your speed dating event you will receive a personal match card where you write down the names of your dates and put either a yes or no next to each name. There is no limit to the number of "yes’s" you choose and your choices are just between you and Fast impressions. If you have put a "yes" to someone who has also put a "yes" to you, that's a match! You will receive an email the next day giving you the names and contact details of the people you matched with. You take it from there!
COSTBecoming a Fast Impressions member is absolutely free! You pay only for the events you choose to attend. You may even be eligible for a discount of up to 50% if we need members with your profile to make up the numbers at upcoming events. To find out if you’re eligible simply click here to register and then click on "proceed to payment" on your "My Details" page. The normal cost to attend your first speed dating event is $79 which includes champagne and scrumptious canapés not to mention 10 dates! You’ll also receive a $50 hair styling voucher* redeemable at a top local salon. How’s that for value? And it just gets better! Once you have registered, paid and attended your first speed dating event you become a veteran member. As a veteran member, you will periodically be invited to parties that we think you’ll enjoy and you’ll only be charged $59 to attend these events.
PAYMENTIf you have a credit card you may either pay online by simply clicking the “proceed to payment” option in your “My Details” page or calling our office on 02 9365 4032 and making a payment over the telephone.
